Through the DATA CELLAR project, we are implementing the creation of a public energy dataspace to support the development and foster the creation of Local Energy Communities across Europe. As the coordinator of this project, we have a crucial role in ensuring its success.
One of our key functions is fostering collaboration with other projects and initiatives in the energy data space and energy communities. This collaboration promotes the solutions proposed by DATA CELLAR and furthers the digital green energy transition. We also lead activities related to the validation of the DATA CELLAR platform by collecting data from various validation cases. Additionally, we are responsible for developing business models to attract new stakeholders, and define an exploitation strategy.
The ability to access and utilize the extensive energy data available at the European level is critical for creating a unified data market. This unification will boost Europe's global competitiveness in the data economy while advancing the green energy transition in alignment with the Fit for 55 objectives. For us, active participation in this transformative project is of significant interest.
DATA CELLAR serves as a pilot project for building a single energy data space at the European level, offering innovative solutions based on open standards. These solutions ensure secure and transparent data exchange, uphold data sovereignty, and enable greater consumer participation. Being a part of the decision-making process in creating this evolving ecosystem is crucial for us. It allows us to stay aligned with cutting-edge solutions on the European stage and contribute directly to the digital energy transition.
Our involvement in DATA CELLAR underscores our commitment to driving forward the digital energy transition and highlights the importance of this project in shaping the future of Europe's energy data landscape.
