40 to 45% of Europe’s energy consumption comes from buildings and only 1 to 2% of the building stock is replaced annually in the EU, hence most of the energy savings should come from existing buildings. However, today’s measured rate of refurbishment (1.2%) is still very low.
STUNNING is a research project funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement N. 768287 that aims at identifying and promoting innovative packages for renovation of buildings in order to accelerate their acceptance by the market players and consumers and increase the renovation rate in Europe.
STUNNING will therefore develop a so called “Renovation Hub”“ for Building Renovation to share and promote successful business models for the large scale deployment and replication of innovative and adaptable refurbishment packages.
STUNNING also supports the involvement of the very different stakeholders, which benefits from and contributes to the “Renovation Hub”.
