At the design stage, the technical and real estate due diligence involves an independent engineering review to ensure that the project is properly designed, taking into consideration engineering best practices and customer’s requirements. Constructability, inspectability, maintainability, and operability are also assessed, as well as health and safety issues and the adopted technologies.
The activity is carried out in accordance with the RINA governance model, which safeguards impartiality and prevents conflict of interest situations.
During and after construction, the technical due diligence consists of evaluation of the construction by a team of experts in the different engineering fields through detailed site inspections and targeted document verifications to assist investors and stakeholders.
RINA evaluates the project’s technical feasibility, assessing its physical and technical viability, reviewing the permits and licenses to optimize schedules, reducing uncertainty about the planned timeline, reviewing the selection of suppliers, the technical selection of contractors and the sourcing of materials, evaluating development and installation costs, operations planning and scheduling.
