Leonardo for pleasure craft

Leonardo allows yacht owners and managers to access updated information relevant to their classed yacht by means of personal entry codes.
The exchange of information between RINA and yacht owner is facilitated as users have secure access to a wide range of services such as, among the others, yacht class details, information on certificates and periodical survey status recommendations and memoranda, survey checklists and certificate copies.

Service Details

The ISM (International Safety Management) Code is a ship management system embracing quality control in the areas of safety and pollution prevention. Since July 2000 it is a legal requirement for all charter yachts of over 500 GT. RINA can provide ISM certification to owners and managers.
Also, RINA can provide support through Leonardo in every stage of the ship’s life:

• Design: assistance during the pre-contractual phase, design, finite element analysis, and updated training courses on rule developments
• Construction: assistance and fire safety test laboratory
• Operation & Maintenance: condition assessment, survey scheduling, PMS
• Safety & Environment: safety management, courses on safety & security management
• Sale & Purchase: purchase yacht condition assessment.

Deliverables

Based on the yacht status recorded in Leonardo Info, RINA provides EASy, an e-mail message system to support yacht owners and managers in the monitoring of due dates of all RINA interventions.
EASy notifies one or more recipients via e-mail, in accordance with the advance notice agreed, the due dates for each yacht relevant to survey due dates, continuous hull and machinery items, information about new class and statutory requirements.
Lastly, every time there is an update, notification is given of publication of a new survey status in Leonardo INFO website.
