These are aimed at showing that we value employees, enhancing their skills as well as their health, safety and wellbeing, eliminating any form of inequality, consolidating the smart working experience and improving our attractiveness as an employer and staff retention.
The main ones are:
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging: RINA believes that the elimination of all forms of discrimination and the development of a culture of inclusion are fundamental to create a working environment in which every single person can feel respected and valued in their identity. In 2024, we worked on the development of the new DEI&B Strategic Plan 2030, revising our KPIs and including the concept of “Belonging”, setting increasingly challenging and demanding qualitative and quantitative objectives. In 2024, 33% of our employees are women and 28% of our top managers are women.
- Certification UNI PdR 125:2022: during 2023 we obtained gender equality certification for RINA S.p.A., RINA Services S.p.A., RINA Consulting S.p.A. and RINA Check s.r.l.. As a further improvement measure, we have established a DE&I Steering Committee, which is responsible for monitoring the progress of the measures put in place and approving the use of dedicated financial and economic resources to increasingly shape inclusion, equity and diversity within our organization. In 2024, we supported the audit for the renewal of the UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification, achieving a significant result in terms of improved scores across the KPIs included in the UNI PdR Strategic Plan.
- Certification UNI ISO 30415: during 2024, RINA obtained UNI ISO 30415 certification (Human Resource Management Diversity and Inclusion), an international recognition that strengthens our commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization. This important milestone represents a further step forward in our journey of integrating the principles of diversity and inclusion into corporate strategies and organizational culture, elements that we consider fundamental to our success and for a sustainable future.
- No harassment in the workplace: initiatives to raise awareness and combat physical, verbal and psychological harassment in the workplace. We have taken a clear stand on the issue and is committed to ensuring zero tolerance towards harassment incidents in the workplace. The action plan includes our commitment, specific mandatory training to 100% of personnel, a protection committee, a survey and a whistleblowing hotline.
- Suppliers Code of Conduct: In December 2024, RINA adopted its Supplier Code of Conduct inspired by the guidelines of the Sustainability Procurement Working Table of UN Global Compact Network Italy. The Code refers to laws, regulations and principles of international and universal relevance, considered an essential basis on which to base relationships with its suppliers and is inspired by those rules, declarations and principles for which compliance, promotion and implementation are required through the signing of the same.
